Iraq Map Integration Update
2002 Aug 17 – Iraq Map Integration Update:
‘The Gipp’ converted the terrain converter program to a windows GUI application that makes it a little easier to use and understand. Functionally, it’s ready. It is also set up to use the Jane’s F-15 data files either as INSTALLED or as DATAFILES.
However, the zipped up image of the necessary Jane’s F-15 datafiles is going to be about 100MB. Maybe we’ll distribute the converted files as a second option rather than the original Jane’s F-15 files. This will probably reduce the image to around 50MB…
The theatre swapper program has been completed. This is the program that user’s run each time they want to swap between Iraq or North Cape.
We anticipate only minor problems, as alpha testing begins. For starters, here’s a list of the JF15 files that are needed:
- iraq\iraq.trn
- iraq\iraq.til
- iraq\iraq.fam
- iraq\iraqc.clr
- iraq\iraq.ins
- iraq\iraq.rdz
- iraq\objects\*.3dg
- iraq\objects\*.pcx
- data\fence.dat
- data\wldlab.dat
